Levoča Pilgrimage 2026
July 4 - July 5
FreeThe Levoča Pilgrimage is one of the largest and most important religious events in Slovakia, attracting thousands of pilgrims to Mariánska hora each year. Overlooking the historic town of Levoča, this renowned pilgrimage site has been a centre of Marian devotion for centuries.
While pilgrimage events take place throughout the week, the main programme is held over the first weekend of July. The highlight of the pilgrimage is the solemn Holy Mass on Sunday at 10:00 am. In 2026, the Mass will be celebrated by Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem.
Whether attending as a pilgrim or simply interested in Slovak culture and traditions, the Levoča Pilgrimage offers a fascinating insight into one of the country’s most significant annual events.
